The Full Story
There are multiple differences between a piece of art and a photograph, some of the most important being creative style and longevity. Not only does a piece of art typically outlast a photograph, but it is something there will only ever be one of a kind, no matter how many times someone tries to replicate it. When commission an original work from and artist, you not only get a piece of art that carefully prepared to last a lifetime, but you are supporting a small business, a movement, and expressing the universal love and appreciation of art.
Animal portraits, unique landscapes, and scientific subjects are one of my most frequently asked for commissions. If you would like to commission a unique drawing of your beloved pets/animals, biological concepts, or something meaningful to your life, information and considerations can be found here. Paintings are always a beautiful and unique way to celebrate a life or something that makes up life, and I enjoy working closely with you to make this happen.

PRICES AND SIZESPortraits and commissions are offered in a choice of multiple different sizes. Each subject includes a clearance area (or ‘negative space’) relative to the chosen portrait size. Prices are inclusive of material costs and GST. Shipping will result in an extra fee. The price is based off of the hours spent on the piece + cost of material + size of the canvas. Please note that during the process i present multiple updated shots. With that said the cost of the hours spent includes what was discussed in the quote of your contract and up to two revisions. Any major changes or revisions past that will be reflected in the final cost. Please email me for a free quote for your project idea!

PAYMENT OPTIONSA non refundable deposit of at least 30% of the total cost of the work is required before the start of work. This deposit secures time in schedule, materials, and upfront research time. Payment can be made by cash, check, debit, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App. The remaining balance is due by the time of completion of the piece.

MATERIALS USEDWhile I work in a very experimental style, I exclusively use professional artist's quality materials (from canvas to paints to finishes) that are intended to secure the longevity of the piece.

IF USING REFERENCES OR REFERENCE PHOTOSIf you looking for something very specific such as a portrait of a loved one, it is ESSENTIAL that you provide a SHARP reference photo to produce and capture the detail and characteristics of the subject mater. It is encouraged to send more than one photograph to help capture all angles and details. Be sure that they are HIGH RESOLUTION. More information may be requested during the creation of the piece.

WHAT IS THE TIME FRAMEThere may be a waiting period at the time of booking, however this will be discussed prior to confirmation. Completion times will vary depending on the material, detail, and size of the project itself. Please keep this in mind and let me know if the commission is a gift or needed by a specific date. I will let you know when I begin work and keep you updated throughout its creation with progress photos. I typically post products on my social media, so please let me know if this is an issue or you do not wish this to occur, beforehand.

DELIVERYI offer different ways to secure your newly completed work! This includes local pickup, personal drop off if near the Atlanta/ metro Atlanta area, and shipping. Shipping is determined by destination, weight/size, and price estimate provided before confirming your booking. Your painting will be sent flat, between sheets of acid-free paper or plastic and reinforced boards or foam. All orders are insured. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been dispatched. A daytime delivery address is necessary as all items require a signature upon receipt. PO box addresses are not accepted.

Please provide details and questions about your specific request and a form of contact information for you so we can begin discussing your new commission! Please note that after discussing your project and before the start of a piece you will be required to fill out the attached contract form.
